Duplicating a Ballot

As of 2 November 2023, users now have the ability to duplicate a ballot if they are creating a ballot with similar contents. Duplicating a ballot carries over the same position names that were entered in the original ballot, but NOT the same candidates or term dates. Candidates and term dates can be added when editing the new ballot.

Click on Ballot Dashboard

Scroll down to the Past Ballots Section

Click “Manage” on the ballot you wish to view.

In the menu on the left-hand side of the screen, you should see an option that says “Duplicate Ballot.”

Clicking this option will automatically create a new ballot as a Copy of the existing ballot and will automatically be set to “Draft.”

Click “Edit” in the menu on the left-hand side of the screen to edit the details of this ballot.

You will need to update the Ballot Name and dates, add new candidates, as well as adjust the term dates as needed. You can also change the primary and secondary administrator of the ballot.

You may also add any additional positions/candidates needed on this ballot.

Once complete, you can proceed with loading the voter list and activate the ballot when ready. See this tutorial for help with loading the voter list.
