I am a consultant or interested in consulting – how do I get involved?

IEEE-USA has a committee called the Alliance of Independent Consultants Networks Coordinating Committee that provides many services to help consultants. First off, we offer a membership add-on (currently free) to join the overall IEEE-USA Consultant’s network. That gets you on the mailing list for a quarterly newsletter as well as notices of IEEE-USA webinars and other events for consultants and other entrepreneurs.

We also support the formation of local consultant’s networks in our sections – the process is the same as for any other affinity group (see the IEEE Affinity Group Formation page HERE). Once you have the required number of signatures and the group is formed, the IEEE-USA Consultants Committee has a number of resources to help you to get started and succeed.

There is also a premium membership for the consultant’s network which includes a listing in the IEEE-USA Consultants Finder. This is currently $99 a year ($149 for non-IEEE members).
