{"id":952,"date":"2022-03-17T15:25:06","date_gmt":"2022-03-17T19:25:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kb.ieee.org\/?post_type=kb&#038;p=952"},"modified":"2023-05-05T10:33:59","modified_gmt":"2023-05-05T14:33:59","slug":"managing-ballots","status":"publish","type":"kb","link":"https:\/\/kb.ieee.org\/vtools\/blog\/kb\/managing-ballots\/","title":{"rendered":"Managing Ballots and Motions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>You can manage a Ballot or Motion that is already in progress, or, &#8220;Active.&#8221; The process is the same for both types of voting.<\/p>\n<p>The following options are available while the ballot\/motion is active:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Update the ballot close date\/time<\/li>\n<li>Print the ballot in HTML or PDF format (to use as paper ballots)<\/li>\n<li>Send an email to voters or view the email log<\/li>\n<li>View the number of members who have voted\/voter turnout<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>When the ballot is closed, you can also use Manage to add manual votes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>NOTE:<\/strong> Only the Election Manager will have access to the &#8220;Manage&#8221; features. All emails sent to voters will include the creator of the ballot as one of the recipients. If it is time to send an email, you may do so by clicking &#8220;Email&#8221; in the menu.<\/p>\n<h3>Print PDF\/HTML<\/h3>\n<p>To view and print the ballot in PDF or HTML format (for distributing paper ballots), click one of the options in the menu.
